Vitamins include other essential nutrients in their composition, these can be fatty acids, aminoacids or minerals. They have different biochemical functions. Some of them work as cofactors in many enzymatic reactions, help in nutrient metabolization, regulators of cell or tissue growth or work as antioxidants.

Vitamins are classified in two big groups.
